Dr Sarah Kiden

Postdoctoral Researcher – Trustworthy AI Systems

Biography:

Sarah Kiden is a Public Interest Technologist and Design Researcher working at the intersection of technology, policy and society. Previously, she was a Marie Curie Research Fellow on an EU-funded joint doctoral programme between Northumbria University and Mozilla. Her research focused on how we might design trustworthy Internet of Things (IoT) technologies with grassroots communities. As part of the Citizen-Centric Artificial Intelligence Systems (CCAIS) research group at the University of Southampton, she will collaborate on research on the design of algorithms and interaction mechanisms with citizen users to understand and trust future AI systems.
